We’re excited to announce the release of Extendify API 1.0, which generates a fully designed website preview from a single description in seconds. This makes it easier than ever to embed website previews in your hosting panels, client dashboards, onboarding workflows, and marketing pages, helping you acquire new customers or upsell existing customers.
The website preview is generated from a single input, which can be a business name, a domain name, or a full website description. The preview is ready in just a few seconds and shows the website header, including logo and navigation, and the hero section of the website. Previews are fully localized across all languages Extendify supports.
Each preview comes with a unique website ID and preview url used to display it to your users, all without requiring a WordPress installation. When users are ready to get started, you can use that same ID to recreate the exact same website inside WordPress with Extendify. For full technical details, view the Extendify API documentation.
We’re already working on expanding the API with more capabilities, including redesign previews from an existing website URL, multi-page previews, multiple website variations, and screenshots.
Use Cases
There are several uses where a website preview can make a difference:
- Domain purchase flow: show what a website could look like while users are purchasing a domain.
- Re-engagement campaigns: send an email or message to customers who only have a domain with you, showing what their website could look like.
- Marketing landing pages: let prospective customers enter a site description and see a free preview before purchasing a plan.
- Hosting panel upsell: for customers on a hosting plan who haven’t installed WordPress yet, show a preview to prompt activation.

Access Details
Extendify API access is available as an add on to Extendify AI and Enterprise licenses. It is not available as a standalone product.
