# Extendify v3.1: Quick Edit, Simplified toolbar, More variety in design selection options, and improved headers and site styles

Extendify 3.1 has landed with a simplified experience for making changes to the website and improved design options.

Here’s what’s new:

- Quick Edit mode
- Simplified admin toolbar
- Improved design selection options with more variety
- Improved headers and site styles

### Extendify v3.1 Overview Video

### Quick edit mode

![](https://extendify.com/content/uploads/2026/06/QE-Example.png)Immediately after creating the initial site, we see that users often want to start making changes to the text and images to make it their own; however, these simple changes can often be hard for users to do. Now, after the site is created, users can make changes to the website content directly from the front-end of their website using Quick Edit.

Here’s what users can do:

- Edit text
- Format text (bold, highlight, etc.)
- Upload their own image
- Generate an AI image
- Search for a new image (either on Unsplash or the media library)
- Edit site logo, title, and social links
- Edit navigation text and links
- Edit button text and links
- Edit WooCommerce product names, prices, descriptions, and images
- Edit WP Forms contact form fields

Users can still select part of the page and ask the AI Agent to make modifications too or access the full block editor for more complex changes.

To test the new experience, use this URL with the latest Extendify release:

**This update will be enabled on June 29, 2026**, to give partners time to update screenshots and documentation. Contact us if you want it enabled sooner or need more time.

### Simplified toolbar

![](https://extendify.com/content/uploads/2026/06/Simple-Toolbar-menu-1024x75.png)The top admin toolbar is a source of frustration for many new (and even some experienced!) users. Clicking “edit site” when meaning to click “edit page” can lead users down the wrong path. Additionally, many plugins add their own notifications to the top toolbar, which can be overwhelming.

The simplified toolbar will be the default toolbar for new users after completing Launch. The toolbar will allow them to access the AI Agent, toggle Quick Edit, or access the Block Editor and WP-Admin.

This is a user profile setting in wp-admin, so if a user wants to enable the old toolbar, they can simply do it from their profile setting.

To test the new experience, use this URL with the latest Extendify release. Note, this can be combined with the Quick Edit parameter above:

### Improved design selection options with more variety

![](https://extendify.com/content/uploads/2026/06/Design-Selection-Step-1024x530.png)Right after a user completes Launch, they are able to see different designs for their site in the AI Agent. These designs now include more variety so users can “try on” different styles to see which is the best fit for their website. Clicking on the design will immediately preview it on their site and clicking save will apply the style to their entire site.

### New headers styles and CTA

![](https://extendify.com/content/uploads/2026/06/Headers-1-1024x229.png)Extendify 3.1 brings more modern and personalized headers to created sites. The headers are often sticky and have a more contemporary feel that users desire. Additionally, the calls to action are specific to each site that is created, so whether social links, a phone number, or a button makes more sense, users will get a header that is relevant to them.

### Other Fixes and Improvements

This release comes with several fixes and refinements, including:

- Plugin auto-updates: Extendify can enable auto-updates for WordPress core, Extendify, and installed plugins by default. Let us know if you’d like this enabled.
- Option to hide the “Exit to WP Admin Dashboard” button on the Launch screen in order to create a more streamlined flow for users.
    - This can be enabled on a per-partner basis. Let us know if you’d like it enabled for your brand.
- New URL parameter to continue directing users to Launch if they have not completed it.
    - Parameter: `/wp-admin/?launch-redirect=true`.
    - User will be taken to the Launch screen if they have not completed Launch yet.
    - User will be taken to front end of the website with the AI Agent open if they have completed Launch.
- AI Agent chat history is reset if the site is reset.
- Improved translation for: Japanese, Polish and Estonian.
- Updated site style selector UI to better visualize the style options.

We are excited about all of these changes to help your customers be more successful. We’d love to hear your thoughts too.
